Visualizing a pivot table

What is a simple way to visualize a multidimensional array? I will present here a short recipe. Visualize a chessboard, but do not fill all the squares. For example use knight travel coverage.  On the interesting squares put a recall marker that connects to a different chessboard – like a mindmap. Focusing on this recall marker you will be able to zoom in and see the relevant chessboard where you will be able to put more recall markers, or octagonal mental palaces or maybe leave the squares blank.

As you need to update your memory, you simply move the figures around the chessboard, adding more figures. Each position of figures is a unique pattern similar to timestamp. As pawns can only go forward, you gain directionality,

The zoom-in and zoom-out connection of the chessboard with the recall maker can be maintained by placing the recall marker in the four corners of the chessboard. You should not reuse the recall marker withing the same pivot table, but you can use it in other pivot tables.
