I am writing this blog for several weeks now, and have generated initial experiences.
First of all I want to thank all of my readers, people spending the time to learn new things and improve their superlearning powers. Trying to provide the most engaging, helpful and insightful content is high on my priority list. Please send me your feedback, comments, requests for articles, and requests for 1-on-1 skype sessions with Anna and me. This communication is very important and joyful for me.
I am focused on 3 challenges I need to overcome if I want to be a successful blogger.
1. There are not enough hours in a week.
I work full-time as a consultant in a startup company developing a revolutionary chip. I leave 7am and come home 8pm, tired. In the evening I put my boys to sleep and try to do my house chores, before a drop in from of TV with an iPad in my hand. Gaming reduces my stress and I go to sleep. Weekends are my time with my family, but it is also shared with my keytostudy family: I write and schedule articles, discuss strategy with Jonathan, teach advanced course to a handful of students…. I did not work out the right balance yet. This activity took over the time I spent in gym and meditating, and I feel out of shape and slightly less focused…
2. Getting cool content is really hard.
At least in the beginning I want to publish daily posts. This means that I need to write 7 posts per week. It takes a lot of time to get all the material from scratch, so occasionally I reuse older notes: from Udemy, Anna materials, my and Anna’s weekly lessons, my other projects… I do believe that various sources and styles of writing contribute to more balanced and interesting reading experience, however I believe I can learn to write better.
3. I should focus on marketing
Getting good content is clearly not enough. I need to optimize it for better reading experience (adding image and video and fonts and quotes and other media). I need to optimize social media through various channels. I need to optimize SEO. I need to bring cool resources via unique affiliate programs not open to the students. This is A LOT of work still ahead of me. I plan to introduce these elements gradually and update older posts for better experience. So with time it makes sense to revisit old posts. Each time I read these old posts I myself learn something new…
